I began painting in the early 1980’s, using oil colour on canvas whilst raising a family and living in country Queensland, Australia.

I moved to the Sunshine Coast in the late 1980’s and began working in watercolour.  I was actively  involved in a community art group and attended  a range of workshops and seminars with the aim of stimulating  and enhancing  my creativity and painting skills.

As a member of the Watercolour Society of Queensland, I honed my painting skills by attending workshops run by world renowned artists such as Robert Wade,  Alvaro Castagnet, Greg Allen, Ron Muller, Ross Patterson,  and  Margaret Cowling.

I studied further in other mediums with Colley Whisson, Robert Hagan.

In the late 90’s, together with 4 other local artists, I successfully owned and operated the well respected ,  Blue Dolphin Gallery in Mooloolaba, on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.  The gallery represented dozens of artists both, national and international and was eventually sold in 2006.

Since then I have taught regular watercolour classes to adults at the Lilly-lee Gallery and Studios in Brisbane as well as conducting regular workshops in mixed media, pen and wash and watermedia.
