I have 5 Acrylic/ink on canvas paintings up for sale on ebay (46cm x 46cm). Each painting is unique and original.
My series of Koi Fish paintings (see my other listings) are as a result of my travelling extensively throughout South East Asia. In China and Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and others, Koi fish ponds seem to be an intrinsic part of the scenery in both the city and country.
The use of acrylic paint in this way lets me achieve a watery effect for the fish to swim gracefully around in. I love the brilliant colours that merge in a free flowing wash. Each painting is completely individual and original.
About the Artist - Lynn Edwards
I began painting in the early
’s, using oil colour on canvas whilst raising a family and living in country Queensland, Australia.I moved to the Sunshine Coast in the late
’s and began working in watercolour. I was actively involved in a community art group and attended a range of workshops and seminars with the aim of stimulating and enhancing my creativity and painting skills.As a member of the Watercolour Society of Queensland, I honed my painting skills by attending workshops run by world renowned artists such as Robert Wade, Alvaro Castagnet, Greg Allen, Ron Muller, Ross Patterson, and Margaret Cowling.
I studied further in other mediums with Colley Whisson, Robert Hagan.
In the late 90’s, together with 4 other local artists, I successfully owned and operated the well respected , Blue Dolphin Gallery in Mooloolaba, on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. The gallery represented dozens of artists both, national and international and was eventually sold in 2006.
Since then I have taught regular watercolour classes to adults at the Lilly-lee Gallery and Studios in Brisbane as well as conducting regular workshops in mixed media, pen and wash and watermedia.
